While this may work for short-term behavior change, it rarely affects a child's inner motivation. A heart-based approach to discipline trains a child to obey because they have a sense of inner obligation to do the right thing. In this course, we'll discuss how to use a "Break" to work through discipline issues, as well as a toolbox of heart-based consequences. Consequences are viewed as opportunities for discipleship, rather than simply administering justice.
